Let's face it. Your mom probably came from one of two schools, either she had time to keep the house really clean, or she worked outside the home and was terrible at keeping house. My mom was the latter. I've been cleaning house since I was 12.

So yeah, at first it takes a while to bring things up to a higher standard. But once we got that done, it was easy to whip in and out - and leave the customer's houses really clean. The girls who worked with me that year cleaned up on holiday tips too!

It even amazes me to think how little time I spend cleaning house. Sometimes I even feel guilty, like I should need to clean something.

It used to bother me when people would turn up their nose and state "Well, you're just a clean freak." I never could understand why people thought this was so hard. It finally occurred to me that maybe I know something that most people don't. You know, when something is second nature to you, you think it should be just as easy for anyone else.
