Most people try to ignore it through distraction, but your brain is not so easily fooled.&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tIf you take the time to notice, you find that the tension in a dirty home is sky high. You&#39;ll also find any number of bad behaviors &#8211;&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\tyelling,screaming\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tdisrespect for authority\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tdrug or alcohol use\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tpoor grades\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tpoor performance at work\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tlack of motivation\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tlack of ambition\n\t<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\n\t&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tResearch shows that an unkept or cluttered environment contributes to &#8211;&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\tpychological distress\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tdepression\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tbehavior problems\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tlearned helplessness&nbsp;\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tpoorer mental health\n\t<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\n\tBut the good new is that once the home is repaired and cleaned up, mental health improves.&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThink of how it feels when your house is clean.&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\tIts more comfortable\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tYou can relax, its calmer\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tYou feel a sense of accomplishment and pride\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tYou&#39;re able to think more clearly\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tIt doesn&#39;t happen overnight, but your children&#39;s behavior will improve.&nbsp;\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tYou&#39;re under less stress, which affects your relationship with your kids, your performance at work, and your health.&nbsp;\n\t<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\n\t<span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 20.7999992370605px;\">When the house<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 20.7999992370605px;\">e was out of hand, I was short tempered and irritable. That was not very good for my daughter. I didn&#39;t want to be one of those moms that was always yelling. But when you have so much stress coming at you from all directions, its hard to control yourself.
